Landfill 2017 is organised by the Institute of Waste Management of Southern Africa's (IWMSA) KwaZulu-Natal Landfill & Waste Treatment Interest Group (LaWTIG). The conference is dedicated to capacity building and technology transfer in the science and practice of waste treatment and disposal by landfill.

Decision makers from government and the private sector, prospective users, academics, vendors and suppliers, policy makers and representatives of various national organisations working in the arena of Landfill and Alternative Waste Treatment, will be attending.

VENUE

For the first time we will bring a landfill to the delegates! The conference will be held at a major operational landfill site, the Buffelsdraai Regional Landfill. The landfill is cited north of eThekwini, Durban and relatively close to the King Shaka Airport and northern suburb accommodation spots.

The venue provides delegates with an ideal opportunity to experience all facets of a landfill including engineering design, construction, operations and best practices.
