Information Sharing Breakfast  

The Institute of Waste Management  of Southern Africa (IWMSA) would like to invite you to an Information Sharing Breakfast by REDISA (Recycling and Economic Development Initiative of South Africa). The responsible disposal of scrap tyres has been going on for some time and has recently come to a head. The breakfast will provide Hermann Erdmann, the CEO of REDISA an opportunity to provide clarity and answer questions on their plan.

Is recycling viable?  

The Department of Trade and Industry estimated that the South African recycling industry operating at full capacity could increase the number of direct employment opportunities with between 18,000 and 100,000 to offer about 149,459 direct employment opportunities. In order to realise sustainable job opportunities, recycling must be profitable.  Our speakers will share practical experiences in metropolitan and rural areas to help answer the question: "Is Recycling Profitable?"….
