KwaZulu-Natal IWMSA Waste Management Awards 2012: Are you waste wise?

Objectives

  • To involve all organisations in our province in thinking and acting on efficient and effective waste management
  • To promote best waste practice in waste management throughout the province
  • To acknowledge the achievements and provide recognition for organisations practicing / committed to responsible and effective waste management

Why Enter

  • To generate positive media exposure for entrants
  • To tackle your waste management issues thereby leading to a reduction in costs and overheads
  • A method of evaluating your progress and confirming the success of your waste management policies

How and when will judging be conducted?
Judging will consist of a site visit and audit and will be conducted during July and August 2012. Professional members of the IWMSA, employees of DAEARD and other government departments will be conducting the judging.

Who can enter?
The competition is open to the following:

  • Chemical Industry: Industries involved with the manufacture or use of chemicals
  • General Manufacturing: Industries where the core business does not include chemicals
  • Service Industry: Any organization which offers a service, e.g. retail centres, medical facilities, housing estates or transporters


How to Enter …
You can enter this prestigious competition by completing the Entry Form and submitting it to the address on the back page before the 30th June 2012. Thereafter an appointment will be arranged with you for judges to undertake a site visit.
