The KZN Branch of the IWMSA organized a 2 day program of seminars and site visits. Speakers at the event included:

The guests were treated to a late buffet lunch following the presentations on day one. Day two comprised of site visits to a PET re-cycler (Sen Li Da), waste collectors buy back centers (Mpilenhle Recycling ), and the landfill in Newcastle municipality.
